ABOUT

When people are unable to get medical and dental assistance, they become discouraged and vulnerable. The Medical and Dental Mobile Unit Foundation (MDF) was established in 2006 as a result of the tremendous determination of our members to alleviate the medical challenges of poor and underprivileged people. The formation of the very first MDF was completed in a mere 6 months. Under its initial registration, MDF was formally known as the Thai Medical and Dental Mobile Unit (ThaiMDMU). This was  changed later on to Medical and Dental Mobile Unit of the Thai Private Dental Association until 2012 when it was shortened to Private Dental Association of Thailand (PDAT).

As our organization grew both in size and complexity, we re-established ourselves as a charitable foundation to more easily facilitate our operations.  Hence, in 2013, we officially became the Medical and Dental Mobile Unit Foundation (MDF).

Throughout the 14 years MDF has been serving many communities nationwide with help from our members, sponsors and donors, we have experienced constant growth. As of today, our unit consists of 200 dedicated members with 50 fully-equipped mobile dental chairs.

MISSION & VISION

The Medical and Dental Mobile Unit Foundation (MDF) is driven by the shared belief on which our organization was founded: health and hygiene are essential to people’s wellbeing. This motivates  MDF to provide general medical and dental care to poor and underprivileged people in remote areas, both Thai and non-Thai, free of charge.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To provide medical and dental care to poor and underprivileged people who reside in Thailand, regardless of their nationality, race, religion, gender and age.

To encourage and promote understanding of the importance of good health and personal dental hygiene.

To provide medical and dental care free of charge.

To assist Thailand’s Health Department in extending health services.

To cooperate with dedicated associations, organizations, and the general public, through voluntary contributions of funds or resources towards our charitable projects.

To remain a non-political organization which join hands with all who are interested in building a stable and peaceful society through meeting people’s basic medical/dental needs.
